It depends on individuals. Not everyone likes gambling and not everyone gets addicted to gambling. It depends on the person's predisposition and will power, I guess.

someone who like to gamble hard to escape from the gambling trap. almost like a drug addict. Even after they went bankrupt still struggling to gamble by borrowing money for gambling. Actually what do they expect?
I think it is difficult as we know if gambling is prohibited then people will playing gambling with secret and no one will know where they played. and like what you said, not all people like playing gambling and some of them playing gambling is for fun and they don't have any expectation from the gambling than just for games.
Those people who addicted in gambling always chasing money or if they lose, all in their mind just to always win not for lose because they want more money for from gambling. But for me yes gambling is for fun and for entertainment not for earning money, borrowing money? that stupid gambler need to be in jail or in rehabilitation center for gambling addiction why you should not having a mindset and setting amount that you can afford to lose.
