All Crypto currencies are very secure and it is not easy to hack any one of them. The main problem is time and resources required to hack blockchain technology. This is the reason why only agencies like FBI can hack or trace back them.

Either the exchange gets compromised or wallet due to the stupidity of owner. As far as Ethereum future is concerned, it is a bright one but it is going to take ages before Ethereum touches 10k dollars.
