I've been using the blockchain.info wallet for a few years now and didn't have any problems whatsoever, except for the fee oscillating.
You can get your private keys, various security options, has direct exchange,etc... the only thing that's missing is the support for segwit.
I have no issue with blockchain.info either and with their segwit support, I think it will be on March.

Electrum is a good choice as it has segwit wallet too and I've seen people here in the forum does have that "bc" address and it came from electrum if I'm correct. But for now, I'll remain with blockchain.info as I like the adjustment with the fees which is really convenient to me.
