Thank you. I am new to Germany, I read online at some forums that it is illegal to upload Photo ID proofs. I wonder how all the Europeans got it verified ?
I'm pretty sure those laws are meant for those who upload their ID to other people or unauthorized third party, but since these exchanges are registered they are allowed to verify your identity via ID.
Just make sure your exchange are trusted enough to keep your personal information.

If that's you purpose, you might want to invest in either desktop wallet or hardware wallet and send your coins into that wallet once you bought them.
Never store coins inside any exchange as they are prone to be hacked.
