Knowing bitcoin's irreversibility, you can accept the following as fact: retrieving those coins is a myth except and unless the thief returns them to you.

Anyone who claims he "might have a method" is exploiting your desperation and is simply eager to get the promised 2 BTC.

It hurts but I will put it this way: harsh reality is always better than false hope. I'm sure you will get tons of PMs promising to undo or reverse the theft. That reward, if genuine, is a tempting incentive.

Accept they are lost and learn from the situation.
