I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT SWIFT CODE ABOUT AXIS BANK KOLKATA BRANCH , SOME ONE ASK ONLY 2-3 BRANCHES HAVE SWIFT CODE , BANK SAYS ALL BRANCHES HAVE SWIFT CODE , THEN IF SOMEONE WANT TO SEND MONEY FROM OUTSIDE OF INDIA THEN I HAVE TO OPEN ACCOUNT ON THAT BRANCH ONLY .. OR IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO GET THAT MONEY
1. Stop typing in all caps. It is equivalent to yelling.
2. For Kolkata there are 2 - 3 Main branches in Axis. You can use the Swift code of the Kolkata Main branch (not the business branch) and the incoming payment will be credited to your local bank. You might need to visit the main branch to sign a declaration form verifying the incoming transaction. Earlier in UTI days, they used to allow creating standing instructions for such incoming transactions. Not anymore. (Not since 2008)
