Sher Shah Suri is a unique emperor in medieval history. He introduced the 'Rupaya' or 'Rupee' which is the official currency in India, Pakistan, and other countries. He is also credited with organizing the postal system and building Grand Trunk Road- from Chittagong (Presently in West Bengal) to Kabul (Afghanistan)

The Rupaya team chose the name Rupaya instead of rupee which was given by the British colonialist
