That sucks man. This is why you should always review the sites you are downloading from. I'm pretty sure Google is trying to increase protection from people abusing their services to spread viruses/scams. You probably already know this, but your funds will never be returned unless you found out who stole from you. Also I'd recommend downloading adblocker. (chrome extension)

I use adblocker on Chrome and it prevents me from seeing any Google Ads.
