Isn't there a warning that you should check that you are sending the right token to the right address. Luckily eBTC is an ERC20 token which means it have ETH address and recoverable.

You should be careful next time, if it happens to another blockchain, it might not be recoverable.

But honestly, HitBTC have one of the worse customer service there is. I'll avoid that exchange if I have a choice.
Lol, this *(highlighted text) made me chuckle. There are a lot of crypto exchange out there.
All ERC20 Tokens can be sent to any Ethereum Address, therefore, there will be no warning because the receiving address is valid.

HitBTC's team consist of John Doe, customer support; John Doe, front-end developer;  John Doe, Software Engineer; John Doe, technical manager; John Doe, the Janitor, a one-man team.... Just joking.
I don't know why but their customer service was one of the worst among those O-K exchanges, aside from Cryptopia.
Stick to Bitfinex, verification might be a long process, but they have a good service overall.
