I'm trying to give out merit points everywhere I see it's possible, to motivate people and remind them that they can give merit. Tho, it's a rather new system that's been implemented, can't expect it to work over night.
Higher rank with more merit should do this, giving merit to lower rank who are posting more constructive will gives good motivation and will boost their self esteem and will contribute well in this forum, hope many member will be like you.
On a normal sense, that is what we all hope for; for the higher members to give to lower members with high quality post some merits but the truth still remains that most higher ranks do not give it out or probably feel reluctant to do so. I have seen some posts from few junior members that deserve merit but no merit where given and low quality posts of higher member been given merit. I try my best to give out merits if I have but it will be nice if people here should try more. It will be good if things here are be fair.
