they are working on the dagger algo and will have swap 1 bpa for 1 billion dagpba
they will have special feature privacy add on. just like iota original is only 100 millions then split it into now is 2.7 billions

i dont know exactly the case for bpa but they must have their reason for splitting into so many coins

06-2018 or later is still good as i see for iota it took them 2 years. raiblock new name is nano it took them 3 years
