DIRA client has even a more classical CPU mining with an SHA-512 algorithm (a GPU miner is under development).
So it is sha512 or sha256?

The blockchain uses SHA256 (as the original NXT), the PoW algorithm for the CPU Mining (currently disabled for technical issues) that we implemented for the rewarding system is SHA-512.
