You must be at very bad luck time when you lost 2ETH, it is addictive game and I have to admit that I'm addicted with this game. At stake, my biggest wagered amount is on the plinko game but I'm in negative as well because I like to hunt x1000 but still no luck so far.
Yes you can adjust the multiplier but not as your own wish, there are three level of risk multiplier (low, medium, and high). The x1000 is on the high level,,but I'm not really sure about the max bet/max profit because I'm not a big gambler.
I never did the calculation for it, but I think the "low" risk and 9 slots gives me the best result. The bad part is that the max multiplier is x5.6 only, instead of x1000
