My share of overclocking the USB miners
Tools I used
1) 2nd hand rework station - 50 SGD (http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/Atten-858D-Rework-Station-hot-air-gun-/271268369349?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_216&hash=item3f28dad3c5)
2) Precision tweezers - 0 SGD (got it from someone. alternatively, http://sg.element14.com/duratool/1pk-118t-f/tweezer-heavy-duty-160mm/dp/3127667 or http://sg.element14.com/aven/18072ezf/precision-tweezer-115mm/dp/1631182)
3) One set of multi screwdrivers - 0 SGD (found it in house)

Components
1) 16MHz crystal - 4.91 SGD (http://sg.element14.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?sku=1842023) I bought 3 of this
2) 1.2k resistor - 0.007 SGD (http://sg.element14.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?sku=1646379) I bought 100 of this
3) soldering paste - 39.09 SGD (http://sg.element14.com/chip-quik/smd291ax10/solder-paste-63-37-183-deg-10cc/dp/1850223)
4) soldering flux - 7.97 SGD (http://sg.element14.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?sku=1925200)

Total spent for accessories (one time cost) = 97.06 SGD
Total spent for upgrade 3 miners = 14.75 SGD

Now 3 of my miners are running @ 440MH/s +

To buy
1) Heat sink - 1.29 SGD (http://sg.element14.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?sku=1773353) After overclocking, the heat is really untouchable if you do not have active air flow. This heat sink looks like it's a clipon
2) Helping hands - 8.33 SGD ( http://sg.element14.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?sku=3973104) Really helps when doing heating...

Cheesy

how is your setup?
what cgminer version?

are the 440 mh/s the 5 seconds or the avarange value?

cause with the 5 seconds value i also get 440 mh/s but avarange is only 380 mh/s.

i did set --icarus-timing short=90

but same result...

but my settings must be ok, cause the others have 333 mh/s.

i also use a 16.000 mhz oscillator and a 1.3 k resistor for r1.
