The seventh annual PHDays international digital security forum opened today, drawing over 4,000 participants from all over the world, who contributed and took part in talks, hands-on labs, roundtables, and hacking contests. Experts showed the finer points of ransomware infection, created an experimental router botnet, demonstrated the process of hacking electrical infrastructure and WhatsApp accounts, and looked at techniques for intercepting phone calls and text messages.
