The new blades (as well as later products) turned out to be incompatible to the upgrading we mentioned, so what we could and would do is just distributing new products at very low or zero price to auction/earliest purchasers with the number based on the purchased amount and the whole network hashrate increase.

I guess he means that the people who bought the 13Ghash/s blades for 50-75 BTC in the beginning (able to recoup maybe half of the price of the device because of the skyrocketing difficulty) will be given a very cheap new blade to recoup their losses. That's my interpretation at least and I'm glad for it because I was one of those guys
