Dear Community,
I have read everywhere in the press that Bitcoin will even reach $50k this year, if it is true, is this a good time to buy bitcoin?

If the price reaches 50k later in the year then of course it would be a good investment. No one can predict with certainty if this will happen so we just have to consider what we know and form our opinions based on that.
Bitcoin enjoyed a great year in 2017 with a lot of new investment and exposure, it's had a tough start to 2018 but seems to have found support and is now back above 10k. If the price can go on a bit of a bull run we may see a lot of past investors come back to the market as they are less in fear that the end is near.
If I had spare funds to invest I would be buying BTC right now.
