I am noob also, but I have gotten my Moonlander 2 up and running through Prohashing pool. My setup is still pretty basic at the moment. I have an old Dell laptop that was being used as a doorstop, I downloaded BFGMinner from http://bfgminer.org/ after updating my usb drivers, I managed to get it up and running. There is a lot of good information (as well as links) in the Official Moonlander thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2420357.msg24766858#msg24766858

The biggest issue I ran into was after downloading and extracting BFGMinner, make sure you edit the exe. command with your pools information, userID and password arguments so as not to be mining for the creator, which I did for at least an hour (or 3) before figuring it out...
