KMC version 2.0.1 beta (needs testing) GUI & CLI

Note: the new version of cmd KMC doesn't require administrator permissions anymore.

If you've never installed any version of KMC  then you can simply download and install the new version, but if you ever have/had installed any version of KMC except the 2.0 version then follow the tutorial below.
If you've installed the 2.0 version and still have problems with the new GUI wallet then follow the tutorial below.

How to install if you already have or had a version of KMC except the 2.0 installed and if you have problems even with 2.0 :

  • 1. Backup your wallets ( location: "C:\Program Files (x86)\KMC\KMC" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\KMC\KMC32" )
  • 2. Go to "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features" search for "KMC" and uninstall everything KMC related ("KMC" and/or "KMC32" and/or "KMC wallet")  
  • 3. Go to "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming" and delete the folder "kmcoin" ( there shouldn't be any .wallet files inside that folder but you can check it if you want to be sure )
  • 4. Download new KMC 2.0 and install it.

The new location for CLI (cmd) generated wallets is: "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\kmcoin\bin\CLI\32" or "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\kmcoin\bin\CLI\64" depending on your version.
And location for GUI generated wallets is "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\kmcoin\" for both 32 and 64 bit version.
