That is a good idea somehow but my opinion before that we need a clear path to go legendary for even newbies who working hard.but with the merit system a person who working hard can not earn merit and up their forum ranks no one give merits for good posts and some shitposts have bunch of merits soo we need a great solution for motivate who try to do good thing in forum in any rank

Probably means that they've become legendary rank because there was no merit system before, so they just had to post and wait. Tho that time "momentum" lasted for a few years.

- Their merited posts would serve as models to lower ranks
I see, so legendary members will serve as role models (lol), and they'll have this Book of Knowledge where people will read their merited posts to discover knowledge and wisdom about something...yeah, I don't know why but you're putting way too much importance on legendary members and their posts.
lol Yeah, there is a book like this in the deepest dungeons of this forum. I'm preparing a party of humans, dwarves and elves to go explore the dungeons and, hopefully, find the Book of Knowledge. First tho, we'll have to pay a visit to the Grand Wizard Theymos to share his wisdom with us before out journey. btw the book of knowledge gives you only +10 intellect and +5 spirit, noting that special tbh.
But seriously, there's absolutely no need for a new rank. Why? Because with the new merit system, getting ranks will be way, way slower and the number of people becoming legendary rank will be far significantly lower than it was before.
