Have been a fork, Lynx appeared and some guys are happy for that, wish them good luck with that new coin.  
Bitcoin and Litecoin had forks lately and they feel very good. A fork don't kill the coin, just generates a new one.

Somewhere been wrongly announced " KittehCoin re-branding into LYNX".    
NOT happening  such thing ! KittehCoin is here forever !
