its because your daemon is either not running or its not connected to the internet..... (how i can tell because its written at the bottom left as "Disconnected")..... now go to settings and click on start daemon.... remember while your daemon is syncing do not force close it or restart your computer otherwise you will mess up with your wallet.(there will be more technical work then) . Now how will you tell its syncing.... if bottom left says "connected" and at the bottom right you can see a green bar filling up.. that means its synchronizing once its finished... it will say "synchronized"
