Yes, I don`t think that world economic can evade this. It could be realized by choosing one cryptocurrency in which you could easily convert other currencies.
You are right, especially when you are a traveler which bringing a large amount of money was sometimes not allowed in other countries, so it is better to have a bitcoin exchange anywhere in the world that we can exchange for a dollar or with their local currency as possible.
