I Think it depends on the age of the children. You can shurely try to explain BTC to a 6 Year old child, but in my point of view, there is no advantage for this children.
Ok, there will of course be children, who are programming and scripting like littel gods, for them it could be good, and helpful, but to the rest, go outside and play ;-)
