It sure isn't, but people like the OP have thought in their mind that why leave their funds in their wallet when they can just hit the exchange and take advantage of the fluctuations by buying low and selling high thinking that is how all traders have been doing.
Too bad he found out the hard way which most of them usually do anyway. If he does not have anything to do with the money, all he can do is just to hold. So many people have been there and once the coins recover, they always get back huge.
