@fox has announced the release of the official Bitshares Core Developer worker proposal on the Bitshares network. This worker proposal named '201803-bitshares-core' is now live and the community can cast their vote within the Bitshares wallets. I am happy to report that within this week support has pushed this worker into being actively funded (your votes are still required if you want to ensure this team is well supported into the future). AEX exchange (formally known as BTC38) has announced that they have issued GAT (Global AEX Token) on the Bitshares blockchain. GAT is similar to Binance's BNB token and can be used as transaction fees or used for voting on new coins listings; AEX will also use a percentage of the exchange income to buy back GAT tokens from the market. Gat tokens will be distributed via a daily airdrop (that needs to be claimed each day) to BTC, BTS, ETH, LTC and NSS tokens holder on the exchange. More information HERE

A new team of application developers has made themselves known to the community this week with the release of the email-notifier for BitShares DEX. The Notifier allows Bitshares users to subscribe to email alert for account changes such as Transfers, Fill Order execution, or, soon, breach of collateral ratio. The code for the notifier is open source and there are instructions available to run the service on your own node; alternatively the team is offering the service to the community for 50 BTS per user for a lifetime subscription. The team have also confirmed, that it's building a wallet application (named Trusty) on top of BitShares, and they plan to also open-source the SDK framework used. The BitShares Blockchain Foundation (@bitshares.fdn) has released a post that provide some insight to the complexities of listing with exchanges in today's legal focused landscape. The article also expands on advice from the legal counsel and their recommendations to ensure that Bitshares has the best chance and navigating the legal framework. They also touch on the accounting process and issues with the website bitshares.org. The BitShares Blockchain Foundation (@bitshares.fdn) have requested that BTS holders consider seven BitShares Improvement Proposal (BSIP) proposed by the Bitshares Core Developer (BSIP-0030 - BSIP-0037) focused on improvements to the BitShares protocol. @cm-steem has announced that Hertz is now live on the Bitshares DEX. Hertz is an Algorithm Based Asset which is pegged to the USD, backed by BTS and has its price feed modified to oscillate using a sine wave with 14% amplitude and a 28 day period resulting in a settlement price range fluctuations between $0.86 and $1.14 depending on the current cycle position.
