Let us answer one by one, because questions are different.
First one:
Idea is quite interesting. But is it necessary to have tokens to make browser work?
No, it's not. Tokens need for additional functionality like Offers or Rating. You can easily imagine tokens as non-flat likes. You can ignore such features and still use WRIO OS, but additional features are always ok, aren't?

Well, that's an entirely different story right there. There used to be a button similar to Facebook "likes" where the author of an article gets paid with every "like". I forgot the name, but it didn't pan out and died.

Most people like freemium services and sacrifice their privacy for it.
