I think it is possible. Anyone can lose interest on something. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is no exeption. People might lose interest if it no longer satisfy the needs of the user. It is deteriorating rather than developing. It is abused by many. It's price is continuosly dropping with no hope of bouncing back. It is possible,  yes. But well,  I don't think it will be anytime soon. Bitcoin these days are getting more and more attention.
