If you are insisting on investing all 5000$ in one coin, I would suggest you to go either with XRP or IOTA. According to me these coins are the safest for investment and moreover they hold the potential to be easily 3X to 5X this year or even more. IOTA though is not under dollar one, but still its better if you hold on to it. If I keep aside your below 1 dollar saying for a minute, I would even suggest to buy NEO as it has smart contracts and is a great platform.

Coming back to XRP and IOTA, XRP is quite good coin if you are planning to hold long term and get significant gains as it has many partnerships, it’s a well known company and the team working on it is amazing and it is doing something that no other crypto does. Its solving real world financial problems for banks and financial institutions. My first preference is XRP.
