The government has always relied on taxes to grow its economy.
Although taxable, it maintains the country and provides infrastructure and government services such as schools, roads and buildings. Bitcoin does pose a risk to the government.

Due to the anonymous transaction characteristics of the digital currency Bitcoin, it is highly likely to be used for terrorist financing and money laundering activities, so some countries prohibit Bitcoin.
