Thanks for answering and explaining what happened but kinda hard to trust a coin that already turned out to be a scam once what kind of guarantees we have that the same scenario wont happen again.... 
We would have just dumped our coins in the first instance and moved on then. But we decided to keep our coins and instead work to make the project a success. Also, the coin wasn't a "scam", one person involved just decided to do something stupid early on. It doesn't reflect the intentions of the current team.
