As a PoS coin do I just hold my coin in the wallet to get the 'interest', and does the wallet need to be open all the time, like Pivx, or can I have the wallet closed, like NEO...or do I have to run a MasterNode to get any returns, is there a link on how to setup an Eli masternode ?

we are not changing the amount of ELI tokens in your wallet, the ELI tokens can be stored in any erc-20 Ethereum wallet, supported are also "offline" wallets as Ledger or Trezor.
