Why do you prefer CLI wallet?
Because CLI wallet is the only real wallet you own a private keys to. I would not trust the mobile app to store my coins.
BTW mine is syncing without any problems.
I don't think that mining will prosper. It is becoming more and more expensive and difficult. Mining will parish in a few years I guess
