Im not in favor of online dating. Yes,  that's less hassle,  less expenses and effort. But how will you get to know each other better if you will not meet personally. Those who are dating online are may not be serious in their lovelife and their goal is not to look for a lifetime partner but just to have fun and play with others feelings.  If you are serious,  you will meet him or her and her families. You will make an effort to know her background.
