I personally have no problem with the lottery. But I've just seen similar things in another project recently, and many old investors complained that they could not participate with their investments and have to buy new tokens to participate. I have not been on the telegram channel yet, are there similar problems there?
I guess You're not right. It's just a marketing for inviting more contributors... nothing more... is that bad?
Ya i haven't seen any real backlash against it on telegram, most people seem pretty excited for it. I'm sure their will be some that feel its unfair, in the end things like this drum up excitement which is good for everyone including early investors, getting lots of tokens early is only good if excitement and the coins and project as a whole have the ability to continue to grow not only late in ICO but as the ICO completes and the project itself grows towards longterm growth.
