Hmm
I can get a BfL 60gh/s today for 2k cash.
Just wondering if you would do it ..? Not looking for a place to find one though thanks for the info!
And for 2k I just plug it in, I guess it might worth it.
So you're saying you needn't wait for ten days, and you obtain complete rig - no need to assemble, for 2k cash? Looks better than the previous post, but still won't pay for itself... With current difficulty, you'd get your first BTC in five days. But the diff is going to increase more than 30 % today. And again and again..
Order 16 chips from "bitpop" and pay, chips will be shipping soon, Order board at the end of this week, units will start to ship about 10th October.( search this forum for Cointamination and have a read)
In two weeks is not the same as today...
Anyway, according to my calculations: With current steady difficulty growth of ~31 % each 11 days (which I don't believe is going to change in near future) you would get about 6.88 BTC in less than a year. That's some $915 in current prices. But you'd be doing about some 0.03 mBTC/day after the year. That means, you'd mine (nearly) nothing after the first year. Thus, the BTC/$ price would have to increase more than 2.2 times just to get your $2k back, with zero profit.
[edit]: The above results don't even count with electricity costs.
