Altcoins have become zero sum game, only good for shorting. Unless you are interested in short term trading, don't invest in altcoins for now. Regarding Bitcoin, wait for 19th-20th March as there will be a G20 Summit and there might be more regulations or even a ban. Right now sentiments are negative. Bitcoin is touching bottom one after the other. Right now, entering the market will crush you and won't be profitable. Bitcoin will most probably touch $4000 levels in 1-2 months. So, wait till then as altcoins tens to follow bitcoin's price action.
