I just went through this with a Mobility 5850.
If you just download the latest version of Catalyst from the AMD site and the Stream SDK you can overclock the hell out of it (bad idea on a notebook) but opencl will have a driver incompatibility problem.
You need to download the latest Catalyst Mobility. That should solve the problem for you. Also the Mobility Catalyst doesn't have the Overdrive capability
Then do a clinfo command. If you are good you should not see the Aborted message near the top.

If clinfo checks out you should be able to mine.
