How ironic. You were part of a group of individuals arguing that emotion is not necessary whereas I have the opposite opinion. I cannot remember the exact thread but it is funny to see this dichotomy flipped around.I never spoke against emotion. Rather, against empathy. The discussion started after a DT (whom I otherwise respect) said he felt sad over the plea of an allegedly impoverished spammer who allegedly really, really needed to spam. Even if the sob story be true, I have no empathy, compassion, or pity whatsoever for such a cretin.
(N.b. that if poverty were adequate cause for criminal behaviour, then I myself would have become a criminal at certain points in my life. I did not; and I have nothing but cold contempt for those who do.)
