I would like to correct you, Scrypt was first used by litecoin back in 2011 and this algo was proposed in 2009. So if we are using it in 2018 it doesn't make it vulnerable to attacks or something problematic.

 We made our development choices based on stability, security and technique used and tested so far by our counterparts. And that make our cryptocurrency stable and solid for the long run.
