Bankeras founding team already owns and operates a successful cryptocurrency exchange, e-wallet,
debit card provider and payment processor. This product is operated under the brand name SpectroCoin (
https://spectrocoin.com/). It has been active for over 4 years now, so we are very familiar with the market.
All debit card providers stopped working with crypto including WaveCrest. Even cryptopay.me which was the best debit crypto card provider is not working with cards any more. The only way is to cooperate with an offshore bank, but the fees will be astronomically high.
A major crackdown on cryptocurrency related card providers happened, and our main card issuer (WaveCrest) suspended all cards issued to cryptocurrency companies. It was a major shock for the industry and especially providers who were only offering prepaid cards.
However, the effect of this for Bankera/SpectroCoin will be minor as we already have an agreement with a new card issuer in place, as well as we are not solely a prepaid card provider.
