I don't understand why this all buzz about advisors even started... seriously the only role advisors play is image! Nothing more, nothing less, pure tool of promotion.
But agree: if they confirm their "presence" in the project, and they are famous and smart, then it is not about image only. Happens not often though. Unfortunately. I prefer not to pay attention to the advisors' pool when thinking of investing.
