They have just released the Baikal N for Cryptonight and it is already obsolete with 20 kH/s. Bitmain announced the X3 with 220 kH/s hashing power. Needless to say what is going to happen with the difficulty of all Cryptonight currencies. Not to mention that almost all of the coin developers are thinking about switching to a non ASIC algorithm instead. It is not worth to buy any of the two miners.

There are algorithms that you shouldn't mess with. Ethash and Cryptonight are good examples for this.

that's the way it is.

That's why you should always buy miners with multiple algorithms.

Baikal Giant X10 will remain very profitable even him the future.
Believe that the 2 new algorithms have been ready for a long time from Baikal, they are just waiting for the market to turn so that they can demand prices of 7000 usd again.

I have been observing Bulwark difficulty for the last couple of weeks and there is definitely something going on at the moment with Nist5 Algo as difficulty dropped dramatically during the last hours. It almost seems that Baikal is unplugging their X10's used for "testing purposes". What I have heard from 2 independent sources is that the X10 delivered from this week on already contain the new algos whereas for the X10 already in the market the new algos will only be released in 4-6 weeks. So let's wait, hope, and see...

What Hash rate of Nist5 your sources reported?
Which one is the second algo?
