We have been saving this one for a nice sunny Friday (at least where we are
). This is the recording of Ulf Wiger's presentation from the Erlang Meetup in London. He discussed the applicability of Erlang for blockchain development - strengths and weaknesses.
Here is some information about Ulf:
Ulf became one of the first commercial users of Erlang when he bought a license in 1993. In 1996, he joined Ericsson and became Chief Designer of the AXD 301 development, arguably the most complex system ever built in Erlang. In recent years, Ulf has been involved in products based on the AXD 301 architecture, and has been an active member of the Open Source Erlang community. In February 2009 he became CTO of Erlang Solutions. He is currently working on aeternity.
Trivia: There was also a live streaming of Ulf's presentation in Facebook. Interestingly, that was "loved" by Ethereum's official Facebook account.
On another note: there are AE scams still happening in Telegram. BEWARE Here is an extract from a dialogue between one of æternity's community managers - the lovable Vanessa - and a fake account impersonating our precious Marion. Needless to say, we will never organize such affiliate programs.
