I bought a new PC and want to transfer my Electrum credentials to the newly installed Electrum on my new PC.
I saved the 12 words and input it correctly but the field for NEXT is still disable and can't be clicked meaning something is wrong. How can I regain my backup? I need all my addresses listed on my old Electrum and want to transfer it to new one. There are lots so importing address one by one can be time consuming.
I still have my Electrum file on the old PC and not uninstalling it yet. Thanks.
First what you need to check is your 12 words,are they completely accurate and do you enter them in proper order?Only one wrong letter and your seed is considered to be incorrect.It is also possible that you create "wallet with two-factor authentication" and now you try to use "standard option" or vice versa.
If you can not solve your problem with seed then you just copy your old Electrum files and paste in the appropriate folder on new PC.
For Windows : \Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Electrum\wallets (or %APPDATA%\Electrum\wallets)
For Mac : Open Finder - Go to folder (shift+cmd+G) and type ~/.electrum
For Linux : Home Folder - Go - Location and type ~/.electrum
