Austin:
Hello Puraneers!
Just wanted to drop another update here to make sure everyone is on the same page about the upcoming exchange updates.
-Coinexchange and Kucoin
Coinexchange is now communicating directly with us as well as Kucoin. Coinexchange has basically said that they will dictate when they can schedule the update on their side and we are trying really hard to get them to commit to an exact day/time. Kucoin is receptive to adjusting their schedule based on what Coinexchange decides. We are hoping that between the two exchanges we have a clear answer sometime in the next 24-48 hours. Please note that this will include the code audit.
-Cryptopia, Openledger, C-CEX
Similar to Coinexchange our original ticket with Cryptopia was reset and lost in the shuffle of busy exchanges. Although they have responded we are less than pleased with their current ticket update (screenshot to follow try not to spit out your coffee laughing..) Openledger and C-CEX have responded and are basically waiting for the above-mentioned exchanges to make their decision.
Other Exchanges
This statement will surprise some of you while others are fully aware of what we have been working on and have been very instrumental to helping us form long term relationships moving forward.
PURA has submitted applications over the past 6 months to over 50 exchanges worldwide. As the rankings and volume for exchanges changes daily we thought it best to contact as many as possible that fit our criteria knowing that it would take a while to get the listings. The application process is tedious, requires a good deal of patience, and sometimes mafia like in the requests that are made for both listing fees and PURA in exchange for the listing. We are a coin for the people and by no means feel that it is necessary to dilute PURA from governance in order to fill the pockets of exchanges that do nothing other than duplicate a service that is already available to our loyal users. As an example, a recent request from a small Asian based exchange (sub 50 in worldwide volume) asked for a 35 BTC fee for a code audit prior to acceptance, 20 BTC per pair (ie. BTC, ETH, etc) and a 50 BTC listing fee. We respectfully declined their offer
At the moment these 50 or so applications have resulted in current negotiations (not talks but actual contracted negotiations) with 8 exchanges. We have selected these specifically based on their place in the market, their locations globally as it pertains to people that will benefit from PURA the most, as well as their willingness to do proper business. Of these 3 are in the top 15 or so of exchange volume worldwide. We would love to tell you who they are, and we are sure you will ask, but assume that they are big, legal, and full of NDAs and other things that would otherwise jeopardize our listings if we started talking about it. These exchanges will be using the new wallet so there will be no need for the current update situation that we are dealing with now. In the coming weeks you will start to hear announcements about these as the contracts close and the listings begin. We have been extremely proactive and have met with and talked to most of the decision makers directly to move things forward. Members of our team will be physically attending some announcements in the coming weeks and months and we will happily share that information as it becomes allowable.
A year ago this process was quick and easy and more recently has turned into something that feels very corporate. We are willing to abide by recent changes in the market that require us to conform to the ongoing requests of exchanges however, we have always been decentralized at heart and with the communitys best interests in mind with ever decision we make. We know that you will all love the things that are on the horizon and look forward to sharing with you some of the exciting things we have planned for the next quarter.
That you all for your eternal patience and loyalty.
Austin
