This has been a hot topic of conversation for several month. You really think all of the Bitcoin whales have been oblivious to this factor for several months? The fact that Bitfinex/Tether has not been the most transparent regarding this matter is already priced in. If Tether is indeed a shitcoin, with absolutely no USD to back it up, the honey badger doesn't give a shit. Are we overly concerned when some other shitcoin makes a tumble because it's a scam? BTC is traded for those shitcoins too, just like Tether.
