Making Sense of the Madness! 
The weekend started uneventfully (with dominance by Nova and Duke) and then everything went off the rails. There was, of course, the epic UMBC upset - not just a 16 over a 1, but a 20 point dog winning by 20! And top seeds kept dropping.

The South/West half of the bracket is in utter chaos. This is the first time in tourney history the top 4 seeds in a region (South) have all missed the Sweet 16. Kentucky, Gonzaga, and Michigan are now the most likely teams to come out of that half at just over 20%.

So what remains in the aftermath? There are as many 11 seeds still in as 1 seeds and as many 9 seeds as 2 seeds. Despite all the madness two top-rated teams (Villanova and Duke) made it through unscathed and look even stronger than they did a week ago. Duke is now the favorite to win the tourney just above Nova.
