It's unrealistic, so that Theymos had to launched it in January (about two months ago) to help the forum.

I guess OP was hoping to get some merit with the first reply. Him and the first commenter seem to have gone to the same school. They both make flattering comments about how cool the new system is even though they havent earned any merit and write poor English.
I think it is because this section has a reputation for most of the merits being given here.
If that's the case I dont think that they can even get a single one here with just posts like that. The big ones are not that fool enough just to give Merits to the low quality and senseless posts like that.
I, too was curious about it and thought that there is another one who's proposing another rules for the newbies to earn Merits in a nice and possible way. I thought that i can even update my own post on the local for this shit but it's not what I've been expecting .
