i used to like komodo, but after j1777's attack on safecoin, made on purpose, i think it's a shame for a coin with good tech to have such a shitty character leading it

The full story of what happened will eventually be released on a Bitcoin or altcoin news site.

And it is quite a story.

In fact, the attack on SAFE is still ongoing and was 100% based on info provided on Komodo Slack by j1777. The information released was intentionally malicious and designed to destroy SAFE.

Didn't Komodo have a $200 million ICO?

Giant houses and Lambos anyone?

mmmmm

Smiley

If he really used an Attack to get that Coins, that is so bad from so many Angles.
Actually he drestroyed his own credibility + Komodo Credibility.
The Legal implication could be also very very harmful for him.

Looks like someone is in Trouble.

Let's just say that there are screenshots from their Slack group that can't be posted right now because people could use them to further exploit SAFE.

But there are screenshots.

Damn I hate the living shit out of ICOs.

Dude is probably living like a sultan on high right now.
So safecoin developers cannot fix this issue? what does that say about safecoin team?

The safe developers are trying to fix the issue.

I would like to reiterate that the ICO for Komodo netted around $200 million. Do you think a coin (company) that is supposed to be a good Stewart of technology and further the  blockchain into mainstream acceptability should engage in this high school hacker nonsense?

Aren't they supposed to be nothing but professionals?

Really, we raised $200 million? Wow, my records show it was more like $2 million. We must live in different universes.

You are calling me a hacker now?

The net effect is that I ended up demonstrating critical issues in the half-fork that is called SAFE, with no forking of the chain and no coins lost. And I provided many hours of detailed technical advice, which appears to be mostly ignored as I didnt see any height based activation in the release that was pushed out. You will end up forking a chain that wasnt forked by pushing out a change without an activation height.
